In the space of an instant a man can "pivot", on the spiritual plane, from one extreme to the other; in a fraction of a second, entire universes can tip over.
Becoming aware that each mitzvah was given by the Infinite God and has an infinite meaning and purpose automatically transforms the act. From being mechanical, it becomes imbued with vitality and fervor.
All of this is expressed with particular emphasis in this work which reveals to us some of the Si'hot (Discourses) of the Lubavitch Rebbe, which he delivered on the occasion of the traditional public meetings.
In a similar way to its work of unveiling, in the temporal dimension, the riches proper to each festival or memorable day of the year, 'Hassidout (Jewish philosophy) has been able to show the great beauty of the inner human world, particularly that of Jewish souls.
It is precisely this true perception of the value of each Jew that 'Hassidut' teaches, with breadth and depth.
Adapted and translated from the works of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson , the Lubavitch Rebbe.
